Current challenge: Abstract Art
From Norse mythology, the Valkyries chose the most heroic of those who had died in battle and carried them to Valhalla.
Sorry
I decided to try out both a different drawing style and a different painting technique for this one.
Angels and Devils
The quote, by Joyce, was recommended for this piece by my friend Keith. If he comes up with something better, I may change it. I hope cherubs and gargoyles count for this challenge.
edit: A clarification by Oscar Wilde: “A sentimentalist is simply one who desires to have the luxury of an emotion without paying for it.” reference
Fat
Not exactly a “politically correct” subject… Here is Henry VIII and pregnant Anne Boleyn. I was about halfway through drawing it when I realized how I should have drawn it to make it more interesting: ie more “action verb” less “presentation”. I also ran out of time again, so I concentrated on playing with the brushes in Photoshop. I’m realizing that PS is now a medium that requires exploration. What fun!
