It just so happens this is the second time Illustration Friday’s assignment corresponds with a project I am currently working on. Here is an excerpt from the rough sketch of one page (I’m hoping it’s kosher to post this):
terrified sheep
Ok it’s an inside joke. Dan’s post (below) just conjured up this image in my mind. 😛
“…..unless you want me putting up the blurry snappies of Gostaz doing a striptease by moonlight in a field of terrified sheep.”
As per Gostaz’s reply to my image (“I have heard of squirrels and squids on bikes, but sheep? WOW!”)… I got a little frisky:

Some folks ride bikes,
But only with people.
Never with squids,
But sometimes, a sheep’ll.
Robert’s Snow
No I didn’t do a snowflake, I only just found out about it, but it’s really awesome.
It’s a shame that Robert lost his life to the cancer but it’s wonderful what he and his wife have started here. They have many, many artists who have decorated wooden snowflakes that they are auctioning to raise money for research to help fight sarcoma. The results are, as you can imagine, as varied as the artists. Have a look:
I recognize so many of the artist’s names from their children’s books, SCBWI, or even just from Illustration Friday!
I’d like to do one next year, too. If I can.
